How to Export Google Timeline on Android

← All export guides · Export your location history from Android settings or Google Maps, then turn it into an animated travel video.

Method 1: Phone Settings (recommended)

1. 1Open Phone Settings.
2. 2Go to Location → Location services → Timeline.
3. 3Tap Export Timeline data, then Continue.
4. 4Save Timeline.json to Downloads or another easy-to-find folder.

Method 2: Google Maps app

1. 1Open Google Maps and tap your profile picture.
2. 2Tap Your Timeline.
3. 3Open the menu (⋮) → Location and privacy settings.
4. 4Tap Export Timeline data and save the JSON file.
